The puzzle was never the problem.

It was where you had to do it.

Twenty minutes and my neck's gone. A dining table puts the puzzle flat, at arm's length, below you. You spend the whole evening bent over like a question mark — and pay for it the next day.

We need the table back. So it gets swept into the box, half-finished. You tell yourself you'll restart it. You don't. That's the third one this year.

He waits until I go to bed. One piece. Always one piece. You find it under the sofa three weeks after you gave up on the whole thing.

How it works

Three things a table can't do.

1

Tilt it towards you

The bracket lid folds out behind the board and props it up at an angle. The felt grips hard enough that pieces don't slide. Your neck stays neutral. Your arms stop reaching.

2

Sort into six trays

Edges in one. Sky in another. Everything stays where you put it between sessions — so you pick up exactly where you stopped instead of starting the sort again.

3

Close it and slide it away

Cover on, trays in, gone — under the sofa, behind the door, beside the wardrobe. Puzzle untouched. Table back. Cat defeated.

The reason it exists

Sit back in your chair. Finally.

A flat table forces your head down and your arms out. That's the position that ends the evening early — not the puzzle.

PuzzleNest raises the board and angles it towards you, so the pieces come into your natural line of sight and within easy reach. Same puzzle. Completely different evening.

Fits any standard 1,000-piece puzzle — the board is 77 × 53.6 cm, with the six sorting trays along the bottom edge.

For the cat households

He can sit on it. He just can't get in it.

The full felt cover seals over the board and doubles as the stand — so there's no separate lid to lose and nothing to store.

Dust off. Paws out. Half-finished puzzle exactly as you left it.

For small UK homes

You don't have a spare table.

Most of us have a coffee table, a dining table that's also a desk, and someone who needs it back by six.

Folded, PuzzleNest is 77 × 53.6 × 4.2 cm and weighs 2.8 kg — thin enough to slide under a sofa or bed, light enough to carry one-handed with the puzzle still on it.

Four reasons people order a PuzzleNest

It's the same board every time. It just solves a different problem depending on who's using it.

The neck

Twenty minutes is all you get

A flat table holds the puzzle below you and out of reach, so you work bent forward with your shoulders up. The tilt stand brings the board into your eyeline instead. Same puzzle, whole evening.

The cat

He's already planning it

One piece, every time, and you find it under the sofa in three weeks. The felt cover seals the whole surface and the trays push in flush. He can sit on it. He can't get in it.

The table

Someone needs it back by six

Most UK homes have a coffee table, a dining table that's also a desk, and no third surface. Cover on, trays in, and the whole thing slides into a 4 cm gap with the puzzle still on it.

The sort

Sorting by colour first is the best part

Six sorting trays along the bottom edge: edges in one, sky in another, the fiddly greys in a third. Stop after ten minutes and it's all still there tomorrow. You never sort the same puzzle twice.

Questions

Will pieces really stay put when it's tilted?

Yes. The surface is non-woven felt, which grips far harder than the thin flocking on cheaper boards. Angled on the stand, a completed section stays exactly where it is. Loose pieces will drift if you shake it — nothing short of glue prevents that — but normal use, including carrying it across a room, doesn't move them.

What size puzzle does it fit?

Any standard 1,000-piece puzzle. The board is 77 × 53.6 cm with the six sorting trays along the bottom edge. Most 1,500-piece puzzles are larger than this — message us with the box dimensions before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether it'll fit yours.

Will it actually fit under my sofa?

Folded it's 77 × 53.6 × 4.2 cm. The 4.2 cm depth is the number that matters — measure the gap under your sofa or bed before ordering. Most UK sofas clear 10–15 cm, so it's rarely an issue, but measure rather than assume.

How heavy is it? I don't have much grip strength.

2.8 kg — roughly a large bag of sugar and a bit. It's felt and lightweight board rather than solid pine, specifically so it can be lifted one-handed with a puzzle still on it.

How long is delivery?

Free UK delivery. Orders are dispatched within one working day and typically arrive in 2–5 working days. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it leaves us.

Can I send it straight to someone as a gift?

Yes — every board ships with a free 1,000-piece puzzle, so it's usable the moment it's unwrapped. Choose "Send as a gift" on the product page and we'll leave the invoice out of the parcel and include a card you can write.

What if I don't like it?

Send it back within 60 days for a full refund and we'll cover the return postage. No forms, no restocking fee, and we won't ask whether it's been used. Of course it's been used — that was the point.
